\"KAG<\/p>\n

This limited edition t-shirt came about after recent conversations between LL\u2019s Derek and Ko Kawakami, an old LL customer and friend of Derek\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Ko, now Associate Professor Kawakami at Japan\u2019s Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts, was recently appointed as Art Director for KAG, a new gallery situated near the campus and main railway station.<\/p>\n

Derek was invited to contribute an item to coincide with Ko\u2019s involvement at the gallery, and he came up with t-shirt design based on an article from issue #1 of Heatwave magazine, Charles Radcliffe\u2019s groundbreaking 1966 British underground publication. Titled The Seeds Of Social Destruction, the article discussed teenage revolt from the 1950’s to date (1966) -and featured nifty drawings of Ted\u2019s, Beats, Ravers, Mods and of course, Ton Up Kids, which made their way onto the design with the magazine\u2019s logo.<\/p>\n
