By the way, in our ongoing quest to improve and make our jackets even more authentic, we have recently upgraded our zips, not only are our new slide fasteners made with higher quality materials, but we have gone to the extent of recreating classic British sliders and pullers from the past, these zips carry the brand name ‘Flash Fasteners’ and we are very proud of them. Currently, these are exclusive to Lewis Leathers garments but we may make them available on a wholesale basis in the near future. <\/p>\n
In the meantime, for those of you who may require replacements for your vintage jackets, they are available from the Lewis Leathers shop. Small thumbnails of the zips can be seen at the foot of this article, we will add the zips to our online shop as soon as we get time. Another question we often get asked is ‘Where are your jackets made’? Lewis Leathers jackets have always been made in the UK and this is still the case, our jackets are made in London and this facility allows us to offer a fast made to measure service to everyone, be they mail order customers or visitors to our shop. Depending on the time of year Made to Measure jackets take around 4 weeks from order to delivery, in peak production time (October – February) they may take up to six weeksto be delivered.<\/p>\n
