Made as a response to the look of the American biker, whose image was appearing throughout popular culture in movies and on the covers of pulp fiction novellas, the D-pocket jacket, that was first developed by D. Lewis in the 1920s, had crossed the Atlantic and then returned to its home on the streets of \u003cspan\u003eBritain\u003c\/span\u003e.
