The 402 Lightning entered the Lewis Leathers range in 1977, virtually identical to the 391 Lightning, the main difference was that the adjuster belts face towards the back rather than to the front, giving a smoother look to the jacket's front. The 402 was the 4th jacket in the Lightning family, following the 401, (now discontinued). Notable wearers include Joey Ramone in 1977 and also Marky Ramone who wore a 402 Lightning jacket on the 1978 UK tour and in the 1979 “Rock ‘n’ Roll High School” movie.
