Very much a British staple of the pre- and post-war years, this silhouette shares much with American jackets of the same period but benefits from stylish detailing from superior British mills, such as the knitted waistband inserts that keep the wind out in cold days. As with all Lewis Leathers jackets, each detail has been reproduced faithfully, using traditional methods and original patterns for zips and fasteners. For these reasons and none other, Lewis Leathers premium products command the respect of those who wear them and those who collect our jackets as pieces of history. The price of quality is in our dedication to detail.

Used as both an adornment and a symbol of resistance, bikers have been using studs to enhance and personalise their leather jackets since the 1950s. Often used to attach patches, that celebrated speed, danger and their favourite motorcycle marques, studs were also arranged into words around the waist belt or across the upper back.
You can find extensive illustrations of historical stud work in the definitive book on the history of Lewis Leathers, Wings, Wheels and Rock'n'Roll Vol I.
