Night Hawk T shirt Black

At least as far back as 1961, Lewis Leathers stocked a range of water-slide transfers and later, vinyl stickers produced by Slik Transfers / Slik Stikkas. Used to customise helmets, petrol tanks and jackets, the designs were very much part of the early visual appearance of the Ton Up Boys and early Rockers and Scooterists of the day, preceding the decorated leather jackets which were soon to follow.

A selection of the designs can be seen in Sydney J. Furie’s, The Leather Boys. movie, on crash helmets and in even Reggie’s bedroom, Slik also produced the Tiger head and Dodgy emblems seen on the back of Pete and Reggie’s leather jackets.

The designs in this t shirt range have been carefully recreated from original artworks purchased from Slik, as well as from old helmets in our collection. The shirts are 100% cotton, made in the UK.
