Super Jet Helmet No. 261

Introduced in 1958, the Super Jet reflected the modern, military Jet-Age helmet styles of the day. Originally called the Trackstar Super-jet, it was re-named the Super Jet in 1960 and was soon adopted by the young British riders, notably the Ton Up Boys and Rockers, who made it their own. The Super Jet went on to be our all time best selling helmet, remaining in the Lewis Leathers line until 1973.

The vintage Super Jet helmets continue to be extremely popular with today’s vintage motorcycle riders, our modern version is hand-made to the same exacting standard of our old helmets but do not meet modern safety standards and are therefore intended to be enjoyed as Collector’s display items only.
