Pride and Glory
Since Marlon Brando, James Dean wore them in the 50's and 60's, biker leather jackets have been cult-objects, vintage pieces have a character all of their own. When Lewis Leathers opened their archive to photographer Horst A. Friedrichs he took care to photograph the many details of the garment, like rivets, studs, badges and stitching. |
Horst A Friedrichs was born in Frankfurt/Main and has lived in London since 1997. He works as a photo journalist for magazines like New York Times, Geo, Stern and The Independent. His fashion and lifestyle monographies are designed by Lars Harmsen. All text and photos by Horst A. Friedrichs
